I have a Windows 98 that we decided to try to get internet on it. But the 98 is setup for dial up. We have the proper D-Link board put in so we can use the Ethernet wire, the router we are using is a D-Link 604 and we are using it for our hp and my computer, In all 2, it is showing that all the lights are working except we can't get the internet to work on the 98. Is there something we have to put into the 98 to get the internet, not dial up which is in the 98 now? I don't know if this makes sense or not?

Try the "winsockfix" available via THIS website. Follow the instructions given, and you should be happy.

did you load the driver for the d-link card? which pc has win98, the hp or yours? what windows is on the other pc? were you using the router before on the other pc or just got it recently to allow win98 on the net? don't worry about SilentSto's comment as i'm dealing with him on another issue.
