Hi Guys, I live in the US and am interested in the pvr boxes. I was doing some research on the starview boxes and how they work with existing cable, but I don't really understand. Do you hook it up to your existing cable line to replace the setbox they give you? Can someone please point me in the direction of a good tutorial of place to start? Thanks for the help!
Hi Yes, you plug your suppliers cable into the box which has a Hard Drive inside and you can record from remote press or pre EPG setting, why would you need a tutorial? and for what? jbvid
a tutorial how to flash it would be good a simple tutorial im still confused after 13 hours on this site
Besides allowing you to record what you are watching, does it also allow you to receive other channels besides those you are subscribed to?
I've done a lot of reading, but I don't feel like I have a firm grasp on it. Do any of these boxes work in the US, I was thinking of getting comcast and then maybe looking into these. Thanks!
There are pages of info about flashing all kinds of STB's, your not looking in the right places for the right things then, try using the 'Search Messages' at the top of the page. I could point you to them but you will learn more by searching yourself and reading which is where we all had to start when newbies. jbvid
Hi Not sure of the Cable systems in the US, are there any US Cable forums to ask about cable in your local area. Here's a good starter I found for you, I just use Google its so easy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basic_cable jbvid
I think not, i would much rather apperciate it if someone told me what box to buy. Then once i received the box guided me through the whole process via msn?
Lost21, you are not asking for much are you? Buy a eurovox, follow HiTecks guide (link in my sig), and if you run into any problems post them
Hi I think what you need is a permanant spoonfeeder, but I don't have the time, so it won't be me. jbvid
Again and I know you have been told before, put in a search or google it, do a little research, you can't expect to be spoonfed mate. When you have done that you will find plenty of documentation in Eamo's FTA Library and then come back and request/ask legit help.
