    looking at a westinghouse VK42F240S for what seems to be a good price under $700. 1080p 60 htz LCD appears to be a good picture any opinions or feedback would be appreciated.

    I looked at the specs on this TV, plus reviews. It looks like a very good deal for the money to me.

    Westinghouse sucks - IMO. The contrast ratio on that thing is horrible - one of the key things when purchasing an LCD is HIGH contrast ratio. Looks to have a nice response time, but how well is the processing chip really? Also looks like it might have just two HDMI ports - if you want to expand your options, that's not enough IMO. I can't really seem to find any other info on the TV. If watching TV and movies isn't a huge part of your life, then get that TV.

    Fork over the extra money for a Samsung or Sharp - you won't be disappointed and you can usually find excellent deals.
