need help fixing chipped or flashed xbox 360

    hop this is the right forum sorry if it isnt
    i need help fixing my xbox 360
    my xbox picture on the tv dont work just the sound iv found out that it usualy happens on older consoles like 3 year old iv been told that it may b my gpu i was wondering if there is any where to send it to get it repared or where i can get a gpu and instruction on how to fix it i think its chipped or flashed but i dont know is there a way to tell if it is chipped or flashed if its flashed i will be able to send it to microsoft wont i
    i live in the uk (leeds)i will be able to send it over seas if nessisery

    Yeah this should be in the 360 forum.
    I had a box like yours and fixed it with the x-clamp replacement.
    Give it a try.

    isnt the x clamp fix for the rrod myn has got a black screen when i turn it on but it plays sound

    Did you not read what I wrote?
    I had a box like yours without video but sound.
    I tried the x-clamp fix because I read that it might fix it and it did.
    So maybe you should try it too?

    do i get it from ebay
    is it 1 of them that comes wi screws n the mettal x thing or is there anything else

    You could but if you're in the uk you guys should have all the metric stuff you need at the hardware store right?
    M8 x 12mm pan head screws and m8 steel/nylon washers and some artic silver 5 thermal paste.
    If not then you can go the ebay route which might be cheaper if you're only doing your system and not tons of them.

    is it just the screws i get with it and the fermal past on ebay or is there ment to be the metal x clamps with it

    No the x-clamps are what you remove and toss away.
    You use the screws and washers to reattach the heatsinks to the mobo.
