Ok, so my D drive is almost full it has like 955mb out of 8.9 gb and I recently used WinDirStat to find out the problem and i see a bunch of WIM files all over the place that are like 100mb each should I delete these? is it safe to?
"jason" let me help you out here just a tad. When you post a question in the forums, and you decide to add more info..use the edit button please. I did a little leg work for you on those bunch of files with a .WIM extension. Please read this All i'll add to that file issue is.. have you been downloading torrents lately? the reason i ask is that winrar reads such files. Now onto the drive situation. Unless you have made a grave error in stating the capacity of your "D" drive...an almost nine gigabyte drive is absolutely minuscule, and to state that there is just under one gigabyte left sorta confirms this to me. Jason if you don't mind, can you post back with your pc specs'' CPU= RAM= Operating system= PS: IF you have downloaded files via a torrent, you CAN SAY that you have..but we can't discuss to a large part, the content. Piracy is still illegal. I just thought that might help out some. Cheers . EDIT: in bold Just as an after thought (and to prove a point) you've been here since February 2008 buddy! shake a leg and post more questions and help out to get rid of that "newbie" status eh? All the best.
