i mainly do downloading, online browsing, and watch movies so i really don't need anything that eats alot of power. so i was thinking of going green and build a low power consuming pc. does anyone have any suggestions on what i should do and get? also i have read online of a power saving compuer thats only 300$ i think it was called a zongo or something like that. but i also read that it was really low in the mhz and other things which made me wonder does that slow down my downloading speed? or it doesn't matter at all.
It wont hurt you as long as it's not TOO underpowered. It's mostly your internet speed that controls that. Can you post a link to it?
Downloading uses no power at all, you can make torrent boxes out of old P2s, let alone HTTP downloads. You will want something that doesn't skip during a movie though, so don't skimp out too much.
