I have been looking into changing over from aim. I was curious whether or not it has a get file option or the ability to send files and receive files. Also if there is, is it compatible with AIM Direct connect?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes on both accounts (I use the Linux version but i would assume the windows version would be the same).

I would also direct you to another im that i like better for windows called Digsby, it is also aim compliant and has file transfers. Personaly I'm not a big pidgin fan, but hey that's just me.

    Hope this helps :)
