My LCD is about 5-8 years old, but 3-4 years i didn't use it b/c of color issue, now to my problem, a few days later after a power outage in my home, i was going to play cs-zero, i loaded it up but all i got was a white screen, but i can hear sound. rebooted my PC got a white screen during p.o.s.t until the welcome screen, then i can see the display. i try changing my resolution but all i got was a white screen. so i solved this problem my lcd can only display at 1024 x 768. it was working fine the other day. Now if my lcd is not at 1024 x 768 all i get is a white screen. so all my game i had to force it to display at 1024 x 768 to work. i switch my pc with a friend of my and same problem. i hook up my pc to my hdtv works fine can change resolution. Is there anything i can do to fix this? i dont really want to buy a new lcd it works fine, the only reason why i would want to buy a new lcd is b/c i reboot my pc like every 3-6 months, but now i cant b/c of display issue.

The plain white screen is indicative of a faulty control board in the monitor - it either needs repairing or replacing.
