So heres the question i find man answers too online and im looking to settle it soon! I have a 37" lg hdtv. I currently have directv without hd channels. I have read that you need something called an ATSC converter on your tv. I dont think i have one of those since i can pick up fuzzy channels still. My question is this. I want hd channels mainly for football, which comes on fox and cbs on sundays and nbc sunday night. Can the new digital to analog converter boxes pick up hd channels for me if i buy one and use an antenna? Directv wants another 2 year contract signed plus $10 a month and i wont really have use for the channels after nfl is over. The new government boxes are only like $20 after the discount card they are giving out, so that is a really cheap way to go. Can i pick up my hd channels thru that converter box? Any help would be appreciated!!
