Hi All, Wonder if someone can help? My box has just come up with the message 'INFO NO HDD INSTALLED' Its only 6 months old with version 4.506 software. Have tried swopping the HDD cable, replacing HDD. Even put HDD into my computer which works OK. Any ideas would be welcome. Bought this new from a company on ebay and cant find paperwork. If unrepairable, any advise on a new unit? another make maybe, as the Starview is a right 'pain' at times and was often unreliable when timer recording. Thanks a lot. Steve
Hi I presume the box works ok if you disconnect the H/D, and also can you do a Format using the PVR's menu system? and have you done this? Disconnect the hard drive re flash the firm ware again then reconnect up again. The PVR's formatting system is differnt to the PC's and most times is not recognised in the PVR until formatted in the PVR jbvid
Hi, Thanks jbvideo. Yes, tried to reformat, but it wouldn't let me as there was 'NO HDD INSTALLED' Box works fine without HDD. Will take your advise and try the firmware update. Appreciate your help. Steve
