please help data update wont update please help lost channels

had the box super for about 2 weeks was working fine and it updated fine came home from work a couple of days ago and no movies or sports, screen went blank it said updating data the highest it ever gets is 80% then flickers off ive tried factory reset emu on and default key no joy , ive got gtrom 8 installed and have tried re flashing it but it says flash fail im going out of my mind can someone please help me im on N*L and live in leicester if thats any help

Well let us know where you are up to now, Menu and System Information, what does it say. Also what are you flashing with NULL MODEM straight to PC - Laptop or Adaptor in between?

when i flashed it first time i used null cable round friends house from pc and it worked fine. but week later when data wouldnt up date i brought null cable usb adaptor , tried to flash box then it said flash fail... do u think it needs reflashing so it updates...forgive me mate computers arnt my strong point

 

The best thing you can do is take it bach round to your mates and reflash it, cut out the adaptor they are a real pain in the A***, but reflash with the 7.09, and then reinstall after a Factory Re-set, here is the file you will be better off with >>>>

And when and if you get stuck in an "updating Data" - in future just press Menu enter 1570 into Cas System menu and scroll down to Set Default Key and press OK, this will kickstart it to update.

Okay liam, just an idea, Press menu and down to System Information OK and check what firmware you have on, you may still have the V 8.00 still on it - I know you have already done that but to clarify if it has e_E after the version then it still has it on, if so do a Factory Re-Set and fresh Installation - then do as I suggested with the Set Default Key after turning EMU ON exit to Sky Sports 1 and it will update - single E then it needs flashing deffo, use the 7.09, around at your mates of course the adaptor's tend to be a pain. no good mate it still wont update fully works fine round mates house just dont know what else to do looks like i ant watching boxing tonight

checked codes and mine are the same updated to 70% then went blank and started again

 

the channels that dont update are half the movies:sky sports 1 2 3 and the payper view . but these channels come through as bics 1, bics 2, bics 3 ect then i hav to change the name, its been like now for about a month one day fine the next day gone i just cant uderstand that it works 4 miles away but not at my home anymore

 

if box works elsewhere it must have updated so it looks like signal issue,check all connections coaxial.splitters also cause problems.

 

coax comes straight from ntl point runs for 4 metres then into box
