anything simliar to TMPGEnc

    the trail period on my TMPGEnc run out and i was very impressed but i don't feel like buying it. is their any other FREE downloads that are simliar to TMPGEnc. thanks

    I use both TMPGEnc and CinemaCraft Encoder. I haven't checked the CCE site in a while but I believe there is a trial version.

    that's what avisynth is for...try dvd2dvd aka dvd2dvd to convert your .avi to vcd/svcd/dvd.

    cce basic is $58...allows one pass CBR or two pass VBR.
