I downloaded Malwarebyte AM to get rid of smitfraud c but it is too slow to scan ...only 78000 objects scanned after 4 hrs. Is this normal?S0mething wrong with installation? Spybot found this virus but can not get rid of it though spybot scan fast, 181k files/hr.I am planning to uninstall the malwarebyte AM afer scanning or even just abort scanning and just use another software to get rid of smitfraud C. Any suggestion for a free good software? BTW I also used smitfix but failed to remove smitfraud . Thanks
A re-start in safe mode may solve some of your woes, as you can run your A/V and the offending file(s) drivers may not be active. As for software....click on the downloads tab at the top of the page and have a wander through..you might find a gem or two. Cheers.
