    Hi,

Just wondering which is the best cable decoder on the Irish Cable market (Dublin) and also the one to outdo codes sent out by providers??

    Thanks

Best is probably the abcom ipbox 9000HD,

but you need to give far more info, that is like saying "what is the best car/laptop"

A 9000HD costs a fortune but is the BEST IMO. I have the cut down version, the 900HD and the picture quality is amazing via HDMI.

In dublin I would not touch anything other than linux based boxes, e.g. itgate TGC200, or TGM220, nokia dbox, dreambox.

I have used 7 different brands/types of boxes so far, the one I recommend to mates at the moment is the TGM220, comes with 2 year warranty, ready to scan without a PC, has all autoupdate stuff installed, can connect to an external HD to record TV, and has great support from the sellers.

Get a 900HD if you have the cash and a TV worthy of it.
