dvd drive help - need help have some question's - nec optiarc

i have a dell computer with a oem optiarc ad -7200s with i believe is a nec drive , i have been trying to research this drive and i have been unable to find a answer to these question's . first i have heard that the nec drive's are not very good reader's for dvd . they say that the read quality ( espically for dvd-r ) is that the read quality is bad and you have to slow down the read process to like 2 x to get a quality read . my second question is that do these burner produce good quality burn's , hearing about the read problem . one more question is how do you make the booktype available , under the imgburn what would this drive be sony or nec . the firmware for this is 101a and i did a firmware update from dell to make it upgrade to 102a . any help would be greatley appericated , i am trying to find out if this is a great quality burner or do i need to get another burner that you guy's recommend . thanks
