ok so i followed the two tutorials on how to burn blu ray disc to work on the ps3 but the only thing i get is a black screen and a white flicker appearance when i put the disc in the ps3. The movie is in .mkv format and changed it into m2ts format with ts muxer gui. Do i need a specific burner in order to burn the disc even though the movie is only 3gig or can i just use a double layer burner to get the job done with single layer sony disc? thanks for the help for those who post...

Most downloaded MKV's are made for playback on the PC and they cut down resolution to get rid of the black bars. 99%of my mkv's need to be re-encoded to a blu ray compliant resolution. The guides here explain how to do this using either MEGUI or Ripbot264. You can burn them on a standard dvd if they are formatted to UDF 2.5. More studying for you! Good luck :)

no problem this is a great board. i spent days going through all the threads and experimenting. was well worth the effort, give it time to absorb though, just get the hang of the software one program at a time. start with the sticky at the top and read it all. Kudos to all that contributed to that thread.
