XP or Vista for my HTPC

    I'm building my SFF HTPC using integrated graphics on ASUS P5E-VM HDMI motherboard with 8400 cpu mainly for HD video playback of my mpeg2 files. Will one OS give more smooth/better playback than the other? XP/Vista 32 or 64 bit?

    i think you might be better of using vista, because i am not sure if windows xp is a good as vista for hd tv bu,t i cant tell you if to use 64 or 32 because i have only ever used 32.
