hello all this is my first post. i have just bought the eurovox ex5000 pvr red and i am having trouble downloading the new software. i have downloaded the ex5000_v1.1.zip [~958K] to my computor and purchased the rs232 usb converter cable. when i try to download the software to my eurovox the message i get is(waiting for response of your reciever) i have downloaded the driver software for the rs232 converer cable but the progress bar is not attempting to move has anyone any ideas thank you
Try a hard boot reset. Unplug the Ex500pvr, hit download on the UFL, wait a few seconds and then plug it back in again. It may take a few attempts. If this doesn't work I would try to get to a PC with a 9 pin serial socket and use only the Null modem cable, the USB adaptor has been proven to cause problems especially when using Vista. last resort it may need need J-taging.
