I play to rip old VHS home videos to my pc, then burn to dvd.
I have a Dell, inspiron 5315 pc, running vista.
I have experince using firewire/iwire. I am planning to hook the vcr directly to the pc (not using the old vhs camcorder ).
    Will this do the trick?

It is a winTV usb model. I will be hooking coaxel to coaxel. Will I have any compatability issues, and would this be all I need? I dont really want to get a pci card-based one.
