Originally had a TECHNIKA LCD42-207 42 (Tescos) that had a fault now have a LG 42PG30 picture on the LG does not look as good as the Technika as it has less pixels. I've heard good things about the Samsung, but like I said in another post about HDtv's, I got the new Vizio XVT 42" SV470. It's Full HD LCD, with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1080p and there is such a huge difference, compared to 720p and 60Hz. Depends on the specifics you are looking for, like size, refresh rate, etc. Either way, I have always been a fan of Vizio products, and they are cheaper than those big names out there, and they have many different types so I'm sure you'd find the one you're looking for. They've always had good reviews too. I recommend going to their website (vizio.com), finding the one that fits your needs, then going to a Costco or Best Buy and buying it. Good luck!
I have just bought this JVC LCD TV. If you are going to put the TV on the wall this model is very slim so it might be worth considering.
