Hi guys, im using a pcmcia card ( Via 6421a ) to connect the 360 drive to my laptop ( my friend has successfully put his into mode b using the exact same card and cable ). I have been trying to use slax but when I run it, it goes past all the code etc and finally comes to a stop asking me to log in. I have read in other forums that the drive should actually be in mode b by now, but mine is not. So I log in using the details shown on the screen and it also shows me some suggestions on commands I could type in, such as midnight commander?
Anyway im not sure why it doesnt put the drive into mode b, do you think it's because the console has 3 red lights? I was just trying to flash the drive before i fxied the 3 red lights so it would be 1 less thing to do when the parts arrive.
I guess ill just have to wait and try again once its fixed.
Hey i actaully had the same problem when i was flashing my friends 47 drive and then i just put into mode b by using the method of putting 2 sewing pins into the power cord of the dvd drive and using a 1 komb resistor and it work fine if your interested in attempting it this way send me a message and i'll give you a more detailed tutorial of how to.
