I have a DVD Player in my car and I wanted to know if there is any possible way to fit multiple songs on a DVD+/-R and play it back on the player.

You'll have to RTFM. Some will, most probably won't.

the DVD player in the car is made to play DVD video..... if you make a music video then maybe it will play your music while watching a video you made in your player..... but it would have to be in DVD structure (IFO, BUP, VOB files)which would limit your to 3-4 hours of music...... if you are thinking of putting MP3s on DVD and then play in the car to hear like it was playing a CD..... I doubt if it will work that way. It might but most likely not! If your player in your car can play MP3s on CDs then you can fit over 1000 MP3s on a CD which would give you more than 3 or 4 hours of music on ONE CD!

The car is a 2006 Honda Odyssey. I tried to play an MP3 through it but unfortunately it did not work. VCD's do work though. Any way to trick the system into thinking that the MP3 is a VCD?
I'll try the MP3 again, If I remember correctly, the last one I tried had folders in it.

just make a video DVD! add your video and put it to the music you want..... you will see the video and hear the music.....if your car player can play DVD+Rs or DVD-Rs.

Can you elaborate on that? Won't I need access to the TV to change songs?

you can make your own musical DVD video... just add the audio to a video stream.... make the DVD! once you made a the DVD with the audio you want, you can fast forward to the song you want to hear. This would be the only way you would have to hear audio on a DVD in your car DVD player!

just to give you an example...... here is a link that show audio to a video stream:

you can burn this to DVD! now you can play that in your cars DVD player! what stops you from adding more audio and loop the video? Just so you can play music from your DVD player in your car!
