Hi all, I was wondering how to set up a controller on the PC to play Halo 2 and Gears of War? Is it possible to play using a 360 wired controller for both Halo 2 and Gears of War? I have no idea how to go about setting the controller up though... Thank you for any help
Which controller do you have?? If it is a wired XBOX 360 controller, this is what you should do: Go HERE and choose the type of product as a controller, choose Xbox 360 controller as the product, and choose your OS and language, then download the file that it links you to. Once you get the file, run the program and it will install When you are done installing, plug in your controller, windows will automatically detect your controller and install anything else that is needed. Once done you can check that the controller is recognized by your OS by going into control panel>game controllers. It should be there Halo 2, and gears of war are GAMES FOR WINDOWS games, so if you start them with the controller plugged in and press a few buttons on the controller, the game will switch to controller mode and all actions will be shown using the gamepad buttons (eg. tutorials) Basically once the 360 gamepad is installed, you can play most games without needing to program any buttons Good luck Hope this helps
