    No it's not closed, but I'm not sure why it's still here.

    Explain what you are trying to do and maybe we could suggest a different software for you to use.

    I was going to say about the same thing 8 or so hours ago... who still uses ratdvd (whatever that is) anyway.. Is it still live software/format. I haven't ever seen it.

    I am new, so i didnt know that rat dvd was an old program, the thing
    is i download a concert and they still using ratdvd so what can i do
    to convert that to new video format, like i said before I went from
    vista to xp in my computer triying to resolve this mistery, and vsita and xp OS got the same problem: invalid archive footer, i placed this post in the ratdvd section forum but nobody attend to this question so forgive me i came to the wrong conclution. thank for your help.

    Sorry.. If I could help I would.. but I have never seen anything in that format before, and don't have the first idea what to do with it..

    Oooooo.. something the Jan knows nowt about :(

    all movies and concert comes with ratdvd format: and what is Invalid
    archive footer any way, i tried to change the file extension to .avi
    or .mpeg but it didnt work, any idea.

    Then you are downloading from the wrong site. Try installing one of the K-lite codec packs, if that doesn't help and you get the same error I suspect the file is corrupt and basically no good.

    at this time i have like 3 0r 4 concerts i tried to open with the program ratdvd because the extension on those videos are ratdvd, and
    when i tired to open any af those files with ratdvd aplication I always received the message INVALID ARCHIVE FOOTER, maybe it is not
    true that all files are corrupt, any idea on how to convert those ratdvd file to another format.. thank you

    Not that I know of. Since the site you downloaded them from seems to like this format maybe they have a forum that you could get help in. There just isn't a whole lot info around on ratdvd.

    Now I know a lot more.. Thanks UGC.

    Still haven't come across that format.. I must have a look for some now to see what I make of them with my "handle anything thrown at it" multimedia debian setup.
