    I recently purchased a HP a6530f:

    2.1GHz AMD Phenom X3 8450 Triple-Core Processor
    4GB of DDR2 system memory
    Windows Vista Home Premium
Power supply (Delta max power 300W)

    I recently purchased an 8500 GT 1 DDR2 bfg:

    Installed it, great.
    Computer recognizes it, great.
    Updated drivers, great.

I run Counterstrike Source, and every 5 to 10 minutes, I will be playing and all of the sudden it will freeze at a frame...then continue normal game play.

I run Diablo and its the same thing.

    Any help will be appreciated.

well... if your running updated drivers, I wouldnt think it that. But sometimes drivers dont mesh well with other drivers. Im afraid im not running vista, so the only other option i can think of is, my geforce 61 or 6300 i forget which, would do the same thing when it hit a paticular temperature. Try to check its temp. In my opinion, anything over 60 65 C is getting uncomforatably hot in there. my card locked up at 70c on the nose. Probably some fail safe in the card.
