Hello, I hope I'm posting this into the right section, new to the forum.. But have been using the forum for help for about 4 years now, great site.. anyways:

I've trying to encode an divx avi with ac3 audio to mpg2 for dvd play back I have run into a few problems first the .avi specs

Image resolution: w688 h384
frame rate: 23fps
data rate: 1855kbps
Audio bit rate: 384kbps
audio = ac3
codec used: ac3filter

I'm using cce ep to encode the video and audio, dvd-lab to author the dvd, and imgburn the burn the audio and video folders.

the windows summary states the frame rate is 23fps but cce sp only has the option for 23.976fps. I was wondering if that will produce complications in playback.

2ed problem:
The audio is vary choppy I've heard theirs some complications with ac3 audio and I was wondering how to eliminate this.

3ed problem:
I used the re size option in cce sp to make the resolution 780x480 the image seems warped and the quality of the picture dropped tremendously. cce sp will add the black bars to the sides to make it standered but i'd really like to be able to see the video in full screen...

Thanks in advanced, Drbyrd.

I think the source avi is wide screen, and if so i'd like to keep it that way but make sure it fits on my tv properly, this is the first time i've ran into a resolution problem, and I'd like to understand it in case i run into it again

If theirs better software, to do this with thats easy to use I'm open to suggestions

Thanks again,

DrByrd

Fixed one of the problems:

I used Vdub to fix the resolution to 720x400 keeping the ws attributes and since cce sp will add the black bars to make up for the 80pixles(40 on/bottom) it should look pritty anamorphic(no?) the only problem is it would look crapy on a ws tv but thats not an issue since i don't have a ws tv, lol.

Moving on to the audio
I'm going to try and demux the ac3 audio and load it into dvdlab, maybe that will fix the cracking. I'll keep updates going, if anyone has any suggestion please let me know.

Thanks,

DrByrd.
