drivers on vista

    ive tried installing 3 differnt webcams on vista home premium and each time it finds the hardware and the driver begins installing and fails because 'the section was not found in the INF' does anyone know how to solve this ?

    Hi Bankrbr,

    Did you recently upgrade to Vista? Also do you have SP1 installed? A lot of driver issues can occur without that service pack.

    EDIT: without the service pack I meant to say

    thanks for the advice but ive uninstalled vista altogether n re installed xp ...much better os in my opinion but now if i reboot pc i get ' primary drive 0 not found
    primary drive 1 not found
    strike f1 to retry or f2 to go to set up '
    yet if i plug out the pc n start it fresh it loads up

    Hi again,

    Sorry to hear Vista didn't work out for you but perhaps your right about XP. So anyway are you sure you did a clean install?
