Hi. I need to get taped material onto PC's HD. My camera has a 4 pin IEEE1394 DV in/out jack, but I have no cable, nor do I have that jack on my computer. My camera also has S video out. My pc has GEforce 6200 LE with s video and several usb jacks.

What would be my optimum setup for what I have to work with?
Not knowing whether or not to get a IEEE1394 cable, unless it can be hooked up to usb.

    thank you

Your best quality video would be using Firewire IEEE1394.

You can get Firewire IEEE1394 cards for your computer about $20 to $30....

Always remember, USB for photo's (SD Card).
    Firewire for Video's (MiniDVs).
