I doubt that it is a fake. I also doubt that it is a safe buy. I am sure it is what we call a Chipod. They often look real good but are made from reject parts. My Chipod died in a week. There is no support or warantees for Chipods. Mine did not have a re-set button. You had to re-set it by taking it apart and shorting the battery but that did not fix the problem. The memory or CPU was defective. So it was a throw away.
