   Im using anydvd with clone dvd 2 .The new rw tdk dvds im using wont play in my old xbox but will with my 360.
   The ones i had before this where the same dvds except the color and they worked on my xbox.

   Check the MID.
   It could be a different manufacturer with a different dye.
