Burn data CD N8

    I've burned an Excel document to a CD.,using Nero StartSmart data burn for other people to load and use. Problem is it keeps burning as a "Read Only" file. I've checked the original file properties of the file from my computer and "Read Only" tag is un-ticked.

    I'm a noob so sorry if this a basic question.

    Any help please. Thank you.

    Read only means the files cannot be altered. You cannot alter files on a CD. Users will have to copy the files to the hard drive first.
