Want to put 4 AVI movies onto a DVD disc and have them play on dvd player ?

    I have downloaded 4 movies to my computer that are AVI files. I have no idea of how to put these movies onto a DVD disc to make them play on my dvd player. Can anyone tell me a simple program to do this and what format do they need to be in in order to play on my player?
