Sony DCR HC42 Another LCD Problem

Hi Another HC42 with a dead LCD display,
Still responds to the touch functions.
Sony center said £176 to repair, not happy with their response to a 2 year old product.

Anyone know how to fix these before I start hacking it apart?

 

I wouldn't think that it is a repair that the normal consumer should try.

If you like the video camcorder, pay to get it fixed, or look into purchasing a new one.

I work in electronics manufacuring for the aerospace industry. We would be shot for routing a flexy like that.
