I have a 700mb avi file a DVD Burner and a single layer dvd-r what is the ideal way to get a good quality dvd movie, what program do I need? and what speed should I burn at.

If you are trying to convert avi to dvd then you can use a program like dvd flick which is free. To burn, use imgburn and I burn no faster than 1/2 what the dvd is rated for.

Doesn't really make much difference what encoder is used.. It's always going to look like a 700mb avi
