my friend has just done a scan on his box and got 290 channels. most ever!!!! one of which said security FR which he checked out, it said virgin knew he was viewing illegally and was law breaking. which is obvious. i thought they were untraceable. after all he only has broadband with virgin anyway so how would they know he had a box or are they publishing that channel to put the frighteners up him?????

You are quite right in your assumption that the boxes do not have any talkback feature and the channels in question is just that, DESIGNED to put the frighteners on him/her, it is on all the VM boxes and is just an old trick, tell him or her to delete the channel if it is annoying him/her otherwise forget it - it is nothing at all to worry about OKAY.

I have a digivox box, bought it last year, it's fantastic, but I also got this fraud/sec. message and it did put the frighteners up me, I unplugged it straight away. Is this box untraceable? I misws it so much but I dont want a fine.

Cheers, I'm not into all the technology that is mentioned on this site. I just bought the box to watch the football. Is this box a good box? I keep reading about starview and eurovox, whats the difference? I paid £120 for it over a year ago and I've had no problems with it whatsoever, but I keep hearing about updating software and stuff like that, what does this do and do I need to do it?

u would be better off posting under digivox so people can view it there, when boxes develope problems makers bring out a fix and u flash/update ur firmware to overcome problems.with a digivox u dont need to flash it that often if u r box is working,u will however have to factory reset and autoscan ur provider to get lost channels back due to frequency change.and emu to on.
