Disc not recognised

    Could anyone please tell me why I have the following problem.I put a disc into the computer and using DVD Decrypter copy the disc.When finished I try to play the disc but the computer is not recognizing a disc is in the drive but when I put the disc into a dvd player elsewhere it plays.Also when I put the original back into the computer this also is not now recognized.I am using Windows Xp Home.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Have you tried cleaning the laser lens?
    How old is this burner?

    Have two burners NEC ND 2500A & Optiarc AD 7170A which is the newest of the two probably a couple of years + old.Yes i have cleaned the lenses and also have had no problem until the last three months.I get the same result from both burners.
