    Hi everyone,
My first time on this forum. I'm wondering if you could help me.
I have a Sony TRV-340 Digital 8. I made my first video the other day
using an external mic. When I downloaded it to my computer the sound
only came out of one speaker. Did I miss something obvious or does it
    not play in stereo?

    Thanks much,
    Randy:)

Was the external mic a stereo mic?

    Hi Pfloyd,
No, it only had one ring on the jack. So I used a splitter to separate
the mono jack into two mono jacks. I then plugged those two into a stereo
adapter that brought those two back down to one.

I'm thinking that I need to buy a regular stereo mic instead of this one
that I got at radio shack.
Where should I go to get one if that is the case?

Thanks for the incredibly quick response :)

    Randy
