I've been running Vista for many months now, but last week when I installed Far Cry 2 (don't know if it has something to do with this) I couldn't connect to internet anymore. I reinstalled drivers (integrated Realtek RTL8168) and tried everything I could think of, but I didn't get it working. So I reinstalled Vista.
Okay, well, couple of days and it happens again. Though, I can see other ppls computers in Network. But when I try to connect to internet it verifies username&password and then says "Failed to connect to..". Windows diagnostics says "Windows couldn't find any problems with this network connection" (network? should it be internet?)

So, any ideas before I reinstall Vista for the 3rd time this week?

Are you still having problems? Can you ping remote sites and/or IP addresses? What kind of internet do you have?

The problem was AVG Firewall. I haven't found any solution, so I'm using Vista's Firewall now
