Hey folks, been a while since I've been here, doing other things and what-not. So now they've finally started making the successor to Vista, Windows 7, but to me I hope it's just a successor to XP, and to leave Vista as far away as possible.

This more or less is the OS that I would like to get, since I doubt Microsoft will ever officially put DirectX 10 into XP. But to that end I'm thinking; will Windows 7 still be built around DRM and anti-piracy measures, or did they finally learn their lesson and realize that was old hat? Vista SEEMS OK, but it's still has those limitations because of what it was meant to do.

Does anybody have any resources as to any information about it having DRM technologies or not? Any help's appreciated.

Thanks for the link mistycat, it had a lot of great info about some prospects of Windows 7. But it still didn't give me anything about whether they're still implementing DRM anywhere in the core of the OS. This OS is turning out to be the next best thing since XP, it's just that DRM thing would totally kill it.
