I have installed the "cccp" codec pack so that i am able to play MKV files in Windows Media Player. I have a HD3870 graphics card (HD4870 on order) with HDTV output. It has DVI connectors for digital output which i will be connecting to my HDTV

The file I wish to play is a HD 720p video (mkv); but how can i ensure i am outputting true 720p to my HDTV through DVI when playing in Windows Media Player.

(sorry if this is in the wrong section of the forum, but i imagine this is more of a software/codec issue than anything else)
