Dvix Xvid and hard drive dvd player

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on a dvd player that plays a large variety of video formats(xvid divx ect) and has a usb port that you can attach a hard drive to it and watch movies from the hard drive. I was looking at something along the lines of this one.

Anyone ever dabbled into hooking the hard drive and watching movies from that? Any thoughts?

The player would also have to be able to read an NTFS formatted hd.
