Ram?

    If the motherboard supports DDR2 1200 Memory can I use anything lower then that that is DDR2 or do I have to use the one it seys?

    ddr has a lot of backward compatibility, but ddr2 doesnt, probably not mate

    You can't use DDR1 if that's what you mean, the pins are different.
    You can use slower clocked memory. Most people don't even go above DDR2-800
