I converted 2 divx files to vob files so I can play them on a DVD. I decided I'd like to have them on 1 DVD making so there will be a menu at the start for the user choose which vid he'd like to play. How can I do this. Can it be done in an authoring program. I have Adobe encore, nero, roxio, alcohol if that helps. Thanks

Using Nero Vision you can elect to create a movie and load both DivX files. You would then have two separate titles with two menu items.
Alternatively, you might be able to load the VOB files - but Nero would recode them, which makes for lower quality.

So once the 2 vob files are created there is no way to put them on 1 DVD disc?

I don't have Nero installed at the moment - and I'm not sure if the latest versions allow it - but I believe you can load a .vob file into 'Nero Vision' (you may have to select 'All Files' from the menu or even change the name of the file e.g 'VTS_01_1.VOB' renamed 'VTS_01_1.VOB.mpg') and proceed to burn to disk.

I don't have 'vision' version just Nero burning Rom 6. And I don't seem to find that option. Maybe I'm just missing it. Is it in this version as well?

What did you use to convert the DivX files?

Canopus procoder. I could stitch the 2 vids together but I don't want that and I want to be able to use the batch function as there are 23 vids.

'DVD flick' can convert most formats, create a menu and burn the disk.
It has a problem with a title that consists of multiple VOB's.
It's best if the title (if it has multiple VOB's) be converted to one large mpeg2 file.
This can be done using 'Vob2mpeg'.

    http://www.videohelp.com/tools/VOB2MPG
    http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_flick.cfm

DVD Flick can be configured (Project Settings > Video > Advanced) to copy the mpeg2 files instead of encoding - thus there is no further quality loss, and the authoring process runs faster.

In this case, the two new mpeg2 files would be added as separate 'Titles' and the menu set to reflect this choice.
