A good starting point is to go to Apple.com. Then go to support and look up iPod touch and its manuals. You'll find some help there. In general you need a wifi router with some sought of password. Then just go to setting and go to the wifi section. When you turn it on it will automatically discover your wifi router and connect to it. Sometimes you have to type in the password.
