(N*L) North Dublin Eurovox EX5000PVR Config: DVB-XC EX5000 TDA 1.0 ST4 Jul 04 2008 2.ot K5 +D V001 Kuro Receiving 73 channels (MMDS pack - Ch****s) all together but ALL of them are Scrambled. I have reset the box 3 times to factory settings without any improvement. I believe I have the right firmware unless there is an updated one. Any ideas, tips, guidance??? Full Power Scan: Start 290 Stop 420 Symbol rate 6.887 Mbaud Thanks in advance, Christy/.
Your box needs flashing with the up to date firmware, click on the eurovox flashing guide under my picture for the info.
Thanks for the advice, will try this. 2 more questions: - What should the Config look like after being flashed? - There was a 9 PIN female to Female cable within the box? Is this cable valid? I bought a USB to 9 PIN Cable from Marx Computer and I tried to connect the box following the explanation from the front page without any luck. I am running Windows XP SP2, I changed the Port Com from 5 to 1, 2 (free), but no luck. The cable is properly recognized though as I downloaded the proper driver. Thanks again Christy
When flashed system info should read, DVB-XC EX5000 TDA 1.0 ST4 Jul 15 2008 2.ot K5 +D V001 Kuro Try changing the com port to 3.
A BIG THANK YOU!!! Connected the Eurovox to my desktop machine, Vista SP1. I read various threads stating that Vista causes more issues than XP. I might have been a lucky one, but the firmware flash process lasted less than 2 minutes. A new Powerscan and 154 channels. I am simply speechless... Summary: 1. A USB - 9 PIN Male + a 9 PIN Female to Female cable, 2. A Computer, (HP laptop/Windows XP did not work for me though), 3. The Latest firmware available from Eamos' library, 4. A good guidance from a Senior dedicated HiTek Genius, 5. A bit of patience and a small interest in IT/Electronics and that's about it!!!! Guys, seriously you ROCK! Best Regards,
Not the lucky one but obviously a compitent PC user, If people had the correct drivers for their USB adaptors or have an up to date OS as you have with the SP1 installed they would find that compatible USB adaptors will work for flashing these receivers, you have backed up my point which I got sick of explaining to people on here that the USB adaptor will work with Vista. I just decided for argument sake and the hassle of trying to explain to take a back seat. So thank you for coming back in and letting us know your outcome. Happy viewing.
They will not work with Vista I am telling you I tried and tried.......... well I tried once really and it worked
LOL.... down to UFU's as a mutual friend said Scouser for others first word stands for User...... work the rest out for yourselves.
