    just received an update for xp an now i have this Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications key with a star at the clock
    i have tried 2 run the removal tool from this site

    but it came up as a virus from avg
    an wont let me use it
    i have look around for others but still the same
    running

    u should be able to take it out thru add/remove programs, just check show updates, or restore and manually update and uncheck that one
