flashdrive/jumpdrive problems

    my fashdives/jumpdrives arnt getting recognized when i plug them in. i have two, one gets recognized as a folder, and the other one doesnt get recognized at all.

    In regards to the one that doesn't get recognized at all, right click on my computer and go to "manage" and then "disk management". Is the usb drive showing up there along with your cd drive and hard drives? If so see if it has been assigned a drive letter of a pre-existing drive in your pc (or even not assigned a drive letter at all). If this is the case right click on the usb drive and "change drive letter", now from the drop down list choose a drive letter that is way out of the way of the others, like P for example, choose yes to the warning and check if it properly mounts now and gives access to the drive.

    As for the folder thing, could you explain a little more? I have no idea about that at present.
