a) Wrong forum area, DVD-R for newbies is the correct one, this has nothing to do with DVD ripping (based on the description of the area)

b) There are currently slightly over 6,000 messages in forums, covering this subject pretty damn well. Search messages, FAQs and our rules are there for purpose.
