I've decided to completely ditch Vista for various reasons, but one thing I'm not liking about running XP on my laptop is the lack of the more advanced power management options Vista included. Could anyone recommend some power management software I could use to help extend the battery life on my laptop? Also, it'd be great if I could make use of it on my desktop PC as well, scaling the CPU frequency down when I'm not interacting with my PC. It does need to stay on and out of standby in general since I use it as my internet gateway, and as a personal file server as well. Thanks!
Hi NamelessN Perhaps this is an article you should read: http://articles.techrepublic.com.com/5100-10878_11-1055996.html I will recommend these two applications: http://cpu.rightmark.org/products/rmclock.shtml RMClock http://www.localcooling.com/ LocalCooling (this is seriously cool, in my opinion) Best Regards
