DVD2OneX2 the device failed to respond properly, unable to recover

I've never had an error with DVD2One before. I'm backing up a 2005 movie.
Burn Failed
"The device failed to respond properly, unable to recover or retry"
This happens 6 seconds into the Burning phase. I don't seem to have a log file even though I selected 'log process messages'.
I used Mac the Ripper first. Again, never had a problem yet ?
I've tried the obvious first reboot and tried again, changed burn speeds...same error.
